Perisher Valley 02nd of July 2009

I got up this morning in the hope of a great morning skiing freshies in Centre Valley. The snow was not a disappointment, but the wind had put all but the V8 on wind hold and Lawson was not opened until 10:00am. I found some great stashes around the Half Pipe area and on the edges of the Mitchell T-Bar Track. For the first time this season both sides of the Duplex were open, giving me a few runs of stashes in Goats Gully. However soon I started to expand my Horizons and hiked to the top of Lawson from the Duplex and got tow runs in perfect creamy windblown down the cleft before anyone else made the effort.
At 10:00 the lifties got Lawson open and I had several more great runs through the powder bowl. I was buggered by 10:30 and headed back to the terminal for a break and I was shocked by the lift lines for Mitchell, Sturt and the V8. So the real world won and I headed home happy after a great morning of skiing.

Guthega is going to be opened this weekend. I think there will be more than a little bit of poaching going on tomorrow.
