Perisher Valley 09th of July 2009

The morning was beautiful, still crisp and not a cloud in the sky at Perisher. Unusually the Village Idiot appeared to be broken and didn’t start running until I headed over to the cross country trails to teach a nordic lesson. The groomers on front valley and in centre valley were great and I'm sure the skiing on any groomed run at Perisher would have been perfect this morning. I only skied for an hour today to practice some of the racing techniques I learnt last weekend with the masters’ racers. The falling down the hill technique feels great on telemark equipment.

The forecast is for lousy weather on the weekend. I hope the full moon effect wil bring an unexpected dump (fingers crossed).
