Perisher 11th of June 2010

Today was the on snow component of the APSI Trainers Co-Ordination at Perisher. Perisher has done such a good job with their snowmaking they opened to the public as well today. We were even a rent a crowd for the TV cameras as there was almost no one skiing who was not involved with the Trainers Co-Ordination. Conditions were very good, the snow was dry and the Mitchell T-Bar side of Front Valley has a complete cover. The other side of Front Valley is a little bit thin in a couple of places, but I’m sure they will make enough snow to cover the patches for tomorrow. The groomers were hard at work pushing snow around on Goats Gully. The magic carpet looks ready to roll and there are tees on Mitchell T-Bar. I think Perisher will open the carpet, Mitchell, the Idiot, Happy Valley and the Quad tomorrow.

The trainers Co-Ordination was a good time and this opening weekend will have the best skiing since 2005.

P.S. A big congratulations to Tom Gellie who is the New Telemark Technical Director at the APSI.
